As a Cost Analyst, your main responsibility will be to obtain and analyze supplier quotations in support of the proposal team. Additional responsibilities may include supporting the procurement organization with the validation of quotations, source selection, and purchasing.
As a Cost Analyst, you will be allocated your own workspace that will allow for total focus but also easy access to other team members!

- Supporting the Proposal Development team by: developing Requests for Quotations (RFQs); soliciting suppliers, and providing inputs into the Consolidated Bill of Materials (CBOMs).
- Must be able to prioritize work on a variety of proposals at the same time.
- Conduct cost reasonableness and realism analysis.
- Conduct analysis of vendor pricing trends, customer demand, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for pricing optimization.
- Reviews quotes received from vendors for accuracy.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of vendor pricing strategies, including pricing promotions and discounts.
- Provide ongoing analysis of vendor pricing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain vendor pricing data integrity and accuracy within the company's pricing system
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to pricing optimization and process improvement.
- Confers with vendors and analyzes vendor's operations to determine factors that affect vendor prices. May recommend use of alternative parts, materials, or methods to reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with local and national vendors.
- Collaborate with Strategic Suppliers to develop Quotations.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, mathematics, or related field with five+ years of experience in a similar financial analytics role
- Familiarity with contract types, including Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and ID/IQ contracting, as well as a diverse range of customers, including civilian and defense agencies
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
- Knowledge of cost estimating techniques
- Demonstrated experience working on multiple proposals at a time
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Flexibility to work as needed during the proposal process to meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership and mentoring skills.
- Aptitude for analyzing numerical information, with strong attention to detail skills.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management including Sales, Legal,
- Finance and Operations.
- Solid understanding of cost modeling and being familiar with creating and issuing Request for Quotations (RFQs).
- Knowledge of computer software (Costpoint and Qstrat).
