Cost Accountant

We are now hiring a Cost Accountant.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Experience planning, designing and implementing inventory valuation reports and cost of sales in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Collecting and organizing cost information, determining and calculating formulas for fixed and variable costs.
• Budget planning and preparing reports for multiple departments internally.
• Assisting in month-end and year-end closing.
• Project profit margins for upcoming quarters, prepare cost forecasts for monthly, quarterly, or annual operating schedules of the sponsor including but not limited to budget and expense analysis, invoicing and financial reporting.

Education and Other Key Qualifications:

• BS/BA required; CMA is a plus.
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• 8+ years of work experience as a Cost Accountant, analyst, or other relevant role in a manufacturing organization.
• Experience with SAP.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
• Analytical skills with a keen sense of organization and detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven time management skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.
• Expertise in standard costing for fixed and variable costs.
• Must be flexible with work schedules and be available to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
• Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
