Summary
The Corporate Health & Safety Specialist will report to the Manager of Corporate Health & Safety and will assist with the oversight and support of all matters pertaining to Health & Safety within the JAM operating fleet and corporate offices.

- Provide ongoing and case-basis safety support to assigned assets.
- Provide professional direction to internal and external project and plant Safety personnel, ESH Coordinators, and Plant Managers.
- Work with partners and other asset managers along with O&M providers to ensure their programs meet JAM standards.
- Ensure uniform interpretation of site safety procedures at assigned facilities and throughout the corporation.
- Communicate, broadcast, and distribute new and changing industry safety-related information and safety alerts.
- Provide specialized safety support for new and transiting plants or client consulting services, including site safety assessments and report preparation.
- As requested, identify training needs and opportunities. Assist in the development of training curriculum and materials.
- Assess the safety performance of individual plants, “groups” of plants, or the JAM portfolio by personal observation and review of reports and evaluations. Based on these assessments, prepare and promulgate “Lessons Learned” and “Best Practices” as appropriate.
- Review and comment on all facility safety-related incident and accident reports.
- Report and track company safety statistics on a monthly basis, including plant and corporate OSHA metrics.
- Support/lead investigations and Root Cause Analysis of incidents.
- Ongoing interaction with plant teams for routine Safety Conference Calls providing follow-up to issues and sharing of relevant safety information.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Safety and Health, Engineering, or equivalent H&S field.
- A minimum of 5- 10 years of experience in the power, industrial, or commercial industry in a safety role or equivalent combinations of training, certifications, and related experience.

- OHST, Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technologist
- CSSS, Construction Site Safety Supervisor
