We are the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation. Other services that we offer include orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac, vascular, and interventional services. We are home to the only Pediatric ER in the community. Job Summary:
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the 24 hour, seven day a week functions of a clinical nursing unit(s).
What you will do in this role:
•Administers, plans and evaluates the activities of the department(s) to ensure quality patient care.
•Develops goals, policies and procedures, prepares and submits operating and capital budgets, participates in multidisciplinary QI teams, consults with staff, physicians and other departments as needed.
•Manages staffing patterns with the assistance of Assistant Nurse Managers and the House Supervisors on a shift-to-shift basis. Follows policies and procedures. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to facility standards of behavior
What qualifications you will need:
•Florida RN licensure required
•Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
•3+ years of RECENT ACUTE CARE hospital experience in the ER, and at least 2+ years of RECENT leadership experience in the ER. Ideally Assistant Nurse Manager/Manager candidates. * NEEDS EXPERIENCE WORKING IN FAST-PASED ER ACUTE CARE SETTING * Would like to see leadership longevity.
•Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
•Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
•PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
