Form of workThe Corporate Counsel will be working with all the teams in the Company to provide assistance in implementing the Company’s Compliance Management System.
Assisting the Chief Compliance Officer, Director of Regulatory Affairs, and the Compliance Team in implementing the Company’s Compliance Management System
Providing guidance on compliance questions to business units
Applying compliance knowledge to the Company’s business processes to ensure processes are compliant
Serving as a subject matter expert for the Training Team to assist in rolling out compliance trainings
Drafting memos relating to regulatory compliance, product offerings, company changes that impact the Compliance Management System
Analyzing data to ensure the Company’s Compliance Management System is working properly
Assisting in drafting responses to internal audits and other due diligence reports
Assisting in addressing potential weaknesses with the Company’s Compliance Management System
Must Have Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate with valid Bar license for the state of Michigan.
- Strong Work Ethic and Positive Attitude
- Excellent writing skills
- On-site attendance is required
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager certification preferred
- 2 years of Mortgage industry knowledge is preferred
