We're looking for a Video Editor to join the Reality Labs Social team within Content Studio, with a focus on developing original content for the company's official social media accounts, including @metaquest, @metahorizon, and @metaquestgaming across a multitude of social media platforms.
The ideal candidate is highly creative, technically skilled, an experienced storyteller, organized, prioritizes attention to detail, thrives in a multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment, and must have a demonstrated ability of working with a global team to create dynamic content across various platforms for an international audience. This person should be passionate about all things virtual and augmented reality and have a genuine interest in the latest technology in this space. Additionally, this individual should have strong communication skills and the ability to deliver initiatives on time and on strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop original content for a variety of a mediums
Edit short-form video projects
Format video files for all Instagram app surfaces (including video, Reels and Stories) and all other social media platforms
Apply design and motion graphics
Ability to complete projects with quick turnaround times while ensuring high technical quality assurance for all project details start to finish
Maintain organized documentation of workflow and assets
QA content prior to final delivery
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Visual portfolio of published work
6+ years of experience in a creative role with an emphasis on creating assets for social media
Maintain awareness of current social media trends
Expert at Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Premiere Pro
Experience working with multiple types of video formats including, mobile video, DSLR footage and cinema grade video
Basic audio and sound mixing knowledge
Proficient in basic color correction for photo and video
Experience running projects with multiple stakeholders
Experience with leading video review and collaboration platforms, including Frame.io
Experience building working relationships with core and cross-functional teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience developing content for a branded social media account
Experience in editing across multiple mediums: documentaries, short-form, narrative, music videos
Experience with Adobe After Effects
Experience working within a creative department that places priority on visual storytelling
Able to work and thrive in a self-starter, fast-paced and changing environment
Experience working with VR and/or Gaming footage, 1:1 aspect ratios and variable frame rates.
