Job Description
As the Corporate Communications Coordinator, you will play a vital role in the Corporate Communications team, providing support in the delivery of high-quality, timely communications. Working closely with a diverse range of key stakeholders, you will contribute to the success of various communications initiatives, including internal communications, public relations, and social media. strategy. In addition, you will have the opportunity to gain experience elevating the newly launched global employee communication platform, increasing engagement and growth among employees.
Responsibilities include:
Internal Communications:
Support employee communications and carry out key internal communications initiatives, including drafting and facilitating internal email announcements and reviews
Develop communications campaigns related to major internal announcements and communication initiatives
Generate and execute ideas for adopting, engaging, and connecting with employees on a company-wide communication platform
At times responsible for attending meetings, recording minutes, and ensuring appropriate and on-time follow-up on any outcomes from the meeting
Develop a deep understanding of the employee population through company-wide communication platform data and insights and make recommendations to reach the employee base
Social Media:
Assist with content creation and ensure posts align with corporate brand and voice
Understand social media best practices and inform strategy regarding appropriate tone and frequency for the current climate
Monitor for comments and other engagement/activity and serve as the liaison back to key constituents
Media Relations:
Possess an understanding of PR principles and media landscape to guide newsworthy pitch angles and secure placements that align with the strategy
Work closely with the Company's PR agency to facilitate PR initiatives
Serve as the liaison between the agency, internal spokespeople, Corporate Marketing, and other stakeholders
Contribute to the development of press releases, media pitches, strategic communication plans, statements, contributed articles, blogs, bylines
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree (public relations, English, journalism, communications, business preferred) is required.
At least 2+ years of related experience
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Familiarity with various communication channels, including social media, press releases, and internal communications.
Experience editing the work of others to improve clarity and accuracy (preferred).
Creative thinking and a passion for generating ideas to effectively communicate the organization’s mission internally and externally.
Experience maintaining and growing a successful social media presence, including scheduling posts, tracking engagement and adapting to maximize impact (preferred).
Experience working with employee engagement platforms, such as FirstUp, Poppulo is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated skill and enthusiasm in cultivating relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Organized, reliable and efficient, with a high attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
Additional Information
The national pay range for this role is $40,400 to $83,600 annually. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
