Proper Hospitality is seeking a talented and passionate Corporate Assistant Director of People and Culture to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's culture as well as enhancing our talent development initiatives at the property level.
As the Corporate Assistant Director of People and Culture, you will be a key member of our corporate HR team, responsible for fostering a positive work environment and driving the development of our most valuable asset – our people. This role will have a significant focus on training and talent development at the property level, ensuring that our teams are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver the exceptional service that Proper Hospitality is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Training and Development: Design, implement and oversee comprehensive training and development programs for employees at all levels within our hotels
- Culture Enhancement: Collaborate with property-level HR teams to promote and reinforce the company's culture, values and service standards
- Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management strategies, including coaching, feedback, and recognition programs to drive employee engagement and growth
- Employee Engagement: Lead initiatives to measure and improve employee engagement, job satisfaction and retention rates
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR practices and policies
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, to identify and address training and development needs specific to each property
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports and analysis on HR metrics, training effectiveness and talent development initiatives for senior management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on training and talent development
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in luxury hotels, is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of best practices in training, talent development and performance management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus
