Join our winning team as a Corporate Accountantat our Corporate headquartersin Clayton, MO. In your role as a Corporate Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring our Corporate general ledger is in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The position will also assist with the monthly Corporate Accounting close process, collaborating with cross-functional teams, analysis of transactions, coordination with external auditors and assisting with external reporting functions.
Corporate Accountant Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain Corporate financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements.
- Support the Corporate consolidation process.
- Support internal and external financial reporting, including environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting requirements.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls, policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Divisional Accounting and Regional Accounting departments.
- Analyze other Corporate Accounting close processes, accounts and transactions and participate in ad-hoc projects and process improvements as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree* in Accounting; CPA license preferred
- Good understanding of accounting knowledge required, Treasury knowledge preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Word
- Ability to learn new systems, SAP experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to interface with internal and external personnel
- Highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines
- Ability to work in team oriented, faced-paced environment
- Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships across functions and geography
