Position Overview

With as few words as possible and an amazing headline? And then switch to write a search-friendly article that engages readers until to the end. Can you adjust to different writing styles and voices?
Love & Company is looking for an experienced, passionate and talented copywriter with a strong portfolio of marketing communications and advertising campaigns that demonstrate an ability to connect with audiences with consistently positive results. As part of our creative team, you’ll collaborate with creatives, strategists, marketing planners and clients themselves to create sales-driving and brand-building campaigns for our clients and pitches for clients-to-be.
Responsibilities
- Write compelling copy for all marketing channels, including websites, collateral, email, blog articles, TV, radio, digital and print ads, social and other media
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and milestones
- Develop, preserve and evolve brand voice and tone for a various clients, including Love & Company
- Follow client style guide, maintaining consistency across all media
- Use data-driven approach to marketing communications and writing
- Work quickly and thoughtfully while achieving a high level of quality
- Collaborates with colleagues from other departments to help them hit their marketing goals
- Knows how to use popular digital marketing tools, including content management software, search engine optimization software, and website analytics software
- Interview appropriate subject matter experts (SMEs) including agency team members, clients and customers to gather background for projects. This may include travel to client communities
- Conduct self-directed research as appropriate to gather additional insights on topics
- Maintain a broad and thorough understanding of market trends and best practices within the marketing and senior living fields
- Collaborate with designers, client services and other team members to concept and produce inspiring solutions for integrated, cross-channel campaigns and projects
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior marketers and client service peers, helping to clarify business objectives, define key messages and differentiate our clients
- Create rationales and educational content for client presentations, workshops and new business pitches
- Present ideas, concepts and work internally to peers and externally to clients
- Deliver and receive constructive feedback with the internal team and clients
- Continually recommend creative solutions and approaches for advertising campaigns and marketing communications
- Play an active role in the company by participating in internal task forces and strategic initiatives
- Contribute to evaluation and evolution of advertising approaches, applying the lessons learned to continually improve client results
- Develop A/B content and other testing scenarios for client communications and agency work
- Work with client services and other team members to evaluate and measure results
- Document learnings and best practices, and apply to future work to improve performance
qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in English, writing, journalism, marketing, communications, or a related field
- A robust, well-rounded online portfolio of successful creative work that demonstrates the ability to write for a range of mediums and styles
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in a copywriting role at an ad agency, on an in-house marketing or working in a content development role
- Must have excellent written and verbal comunitcation skills
- High emotional intelligence and adaptability, able to interact with senior leaders
- Strong conceptual and strategic thinking that balances creative approaches with business objectives
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to juggle multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Strong editing and proofreading skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office software
- Preferred experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Hubspot, WordPress and other digital marketing tools
- Experience with the senior living field is a major plus
