We are seeking a Coordinator of New EOF Student Experience that reports to the Assistant Dean of the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program or designee. The coordinator researches, implements, documents, and asses evidence-based recruitment and retention interventions to ensure that all new EOF student receive high-impact support services at the college.
Specific Functions:
- Promotes the college and the EOF Program to prospective students and community partners.
- Liaises with campus-based opportunity and academic support programs to onboard returning PCCC students into EOF
- Develops and coordinates initiatives designed to retain students in their first-year students in the EOF program
- Utilizes generative AI tools like ChatGPT improve first-year EOF student programming
- Advises individuals and groups of first-year EOF students as needed
- Collaborates with EOF staff to ensure that all first-year students are receiving high-quality academic support services
- Maintains student records for first-year EOF students, including but not limited to: recruitment and advising contacts, notes, and workshop attendance
- Cultivates community partnerships that can result in the success of New EOF students
- Coordinates elements of the EOF Summer Institute as needed
- Assist with cultivating donors that support first-year EOF student initiatives
- Maintains a virtual space dedicated to first-year EOF students
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean or a designee
Required skills, experience and background:
- Master's degree required
- Minimum of two years of administrative experience working with programs in an urban setting
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and in interpersonal interactions
- Ability to work with a diverse team of faculty, staff, and students
- Ability to coordinate student support services, with other college and community personnel
- Sensitivity to the needs of the student population of an urban community college
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Suite including, but not limited to, Word and Excel
