Summary
The Instructional Coordinator is primarily responsible for designing, developing and delivering courses and instructional projects using instructional design principles, quality and instructional technology tools.
Essential Functions

- Develop and deliver Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) onboard training for new faculty and new employees.
- Develop and deliver on-going training sessions that focus on quality online teaching skills aligned to distance delivery courses with the intended outcome of improve overall students' satisfaction rate and completion rate.
- Provide Learning Management System presentations and trainings for College stakeholders as needed.
- Provide training and assistance for instructional design, instructional technology, and instructional innovation. This does not include completing design work or building LMS sites for internal employees or external constituents.
- Contribute to staffing faculty common area, including resource rooms, meeting rooms, and Teaching & Learning Excellence (TLE) room.
- Maintain and facilitate communication channels related to faculty professional development including telephone, email, answer faculty and staff questions, and develop internal promotional items for faculty professional development opportunities.
- Coordinate and facilitate professional development programs for faculty related to: ICC's Learning Management System, Online Courses, Blended/Hybrid Courses, Instructional Technology, Instructional innovation and design, and Strategic priorities identified for faculty professional development (includes working with internal trainers and external trainers).
- Participate and represent ICC in statewide and national organizations including but not limited to SARA and Illinois Online Network.
- Serve as a member of the Online Learning Advisory to facilitate stakeholder input on and maintain current documentation of quality standards for distance education.
- Maintain list for ICC faculty who have completed credentialing process for teaching in distance education program.
- Perform related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or instructional technology.
- 2 years of teaching experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong background in effective teaching and instructional design methodologies including writing objectives, lesson planning, developing curriculum, evaluation and assessment.
- Experience in integrating instructional technology into teaching and learning processes.
- Experience with online or Web-supported learning through a Learning Management System.
- Experience with research using internal applications when a project is not documented properly.
- Experience with designing and delivering presentations, workshops, and/or trainings.
- Strong professionalism and confidentiality with all levels of staff.
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in instructional education and/or related field.
- 5 years of teaching experience.
- Instructional staff experience at the collegiate or business professional/corporate level.
- Canvas Learning Management Systems experience.
