Reporting to the Instrumentation Electrical & Controls Manager, the IE&C Compliance Coordinator provides support to the Instrumentation Electrical & Controls Department in a variety of roles requiring minimal supervision. This position will help ensure the overall success for the department by assisting in the key accountabilities which are vital to the department.
A successful candidate for this position should be results driven, self-starting and able to work in a team based environment. This position will require organizational astuteness and exemplary attention to detail as well as multitasking. The candidate should be able to take complex information and extrapolate it into elemental terms.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Create and maintain an Electrical Safety and Electrical Preventative Maintenance programs used to satisfy both current and future National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) requirements.
- Consistently measure and monitor program for accuracy and compliance.
- Revise program as required to comply with periodic code changes.
- Perform the administrative functions required for the role.
- Act as the liaison between Searles Valley Minerals and external energy suppliers.
- Work closely with accounting department of energy cost tracking and forecasting
- Create and maintain energy usage reports for trend analysis to augment strategic energy plan.
- Serve as the departments ISO coordinator
- Assist with interdepartmental annual audits
- Coordinate internal and external audits as required and coordinate corrective actions in response to audit findings.
- Provide oversight and facilitate the current departmental training efforts.
- Manage current craft apprenticeship programs
- Facilitate training of CPR, First Aid, AED to qualified electrical workers to ensure compliance with regulation.
- Augment planning/scheduling efforts in relation to project timelines, cost tracking, and keeping key project objectives on time.
