Job Details
Responsibilities & functions include the following:
- Develop and maintain drive, controls and SCADA system best practices through collaboration with other process technology teams.
- Perform a variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy. Use instruments to test circuits and replace or install new power, light, electronic and control circuits.
- Knowledge of schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
- Create and update electrical schematics and drawings.
- Conduct training of customer employees for proper adjustments and operations
- Plan, direct and coordinate projects to ensure on time completion within budget.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in controls or electrical engineering
- Knowledgeable with National Electric Code
- Experience in automation, drive and control systems
- PLCs knowledge of Allen Bradley ControlLogix
- Ability to develop PLC programs in function block and structural text
- Drive experience with AB Powerflex and ABB
- Knowledge of HMI software; Factory Talk Studio, RSView 32, AVEVA (Wonderware) and Intellution
- Knowledge of Data collection systems including AVEVA (Wonderware) Historian and Intellution
- Ability to be self-directed and a self-starter
- Ability to execute multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills among all levels of the organization
- Hands-on ability to work through symptoms and get to root problem
- Experience in troubleshooting equipment and process issues
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
