Automation Controls Engineer

MUST HAVES:

1. Experience working in a regulated environment (medical device, food and beverage, pharma, aerospace)
2. 1-5+ years of experience working with and configuring manufacturing applications such as Ignition or Rockwell ViewSE
3. You must have the ability to understand PLC ladder logic and tag data
4. Ability to understand programming languages such as SQL, Python, etc.
5. A technical engineering degree is required (EE, EET, Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering or similar)

This is an 8 month contract position to be a part of a system integration team supporting work within one of the major pharmaceutical manufacturers. This project is centered around the installation and configuration of new software on manufacturing lines. This will involve working with controls systems, HMI configurations, data historians, and custom software configuration created by the client. You will be asked to support tasks related to manufacturing IT and shopfloor infrastructure, installing custom software on machines, some process validation and providing documentation for highly regulated processes. Please find additional responsibilities below:

- Install Ignition and/or custom software developed by the client
- Ability to understand programming languages such as SQL, Python, etc.
- Install Oracle client, FactoryTalk View SE, Batch, Kepware, Matrikon, Rockwell patches, or other necessary manufacturing software
- Follow and execute regulated documents following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) which could include test cases, installation and verification instructions (IVI), and design configuration checklists (DCC)
- Troubleshoot installations that could include other system connectivity or custom software services failing

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $68.00 per hour
