SUMMARY
Seeking a Controls Engineer to work in a fast paced and flexible environment for a growing Electro-Mechanical contract manufacturer. Candidate will work with customers to define and develop control systems, software, layouts, and processes in the industrial automation space.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interfacing with customers to develop layouts and design for a variety of needs using CAD (AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc.)
- Engage closely with sales team and customer to quote and develop new business
- Interpret and implement specifications and industry requirements and standards
- Develop test plans and test cases
- Troubleshooting to find and resolve issues in systems
- Research, design, and management of control systems
- Improving existing processes through layout, materials and information flow, and machine placement
- Work with Manufacturing Personnel to work out kinks and continuously improve processes during new or existing builds

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5-10+ years experience to include:
- Design and develop control systems for industrial automation applications
- Electrical schematics, layouts, component selection, and project management
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Successful delivery of projects within scope and on target.
- Working knowledge of regulations and standards and test protocol (methodology, standards and regulatory).
- Skills including engineering, manufacturing, program & people management, and technical understanding
- Ability to communicate cross-functionally and convey technical information well in written and verbal formats
- Experience in working with customers
- Experience in warehouse automation
- Advanced knowledge of 3D CAD systems
- Fluent with MS Office as well as MS Project
