Controller

Overview:

• Responsible to publish timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Responsible for all financial audits. (Financial Statements, 401K, Worker Comp, etc.)

• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management team

• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions

• Responsible for compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

• Contribute to the production of the annual budget and forecasts

• Supervision of the accounting staff.

• Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner

• Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable

• Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly

• Monitor 401k transactions. (audit compliance)

• Monitor credit limits for customers

• Provide for a system of management cost reports

• Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations

• Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations

• ROI analysis for new assets purchases over $25,000

• Maintain the chart of accounts
• Percentage of Completion Accounting experience required.
• Governmental costing - a definite plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
