Job Summary
This position is responsible for driving financial objectives, keeping the integrity of accounting information and compliant business processes. The position supports the business president as part of the senior leadership team. Acts to provide financial insight and works with the business President in preparing and managing the annual budget. Supports and oversees audits. Through reporting and analysis, identifies trends & collaborates with business leadership towards process improvements and margin efficiencies.
* Directs all financial reporting and accounting practice's
* Establishes, or recommends to leadership, major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company
* Prepares reports to summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position
* Enhances, implements, and enforces SOX policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation
* Analyzes operating budgets and financial results (including working closely with sites/plants) to identify trends and activities driving those results and makes recommendations on potential changes, both operational and financial in nature, to improve performance
* Fixed asset and CAPEX reporting
* Maintains SOX and other Internal Control documents, coordinates compliance efforts and provides education and support
* Actively seeks, communicates, and participates in process improvement opportunities'
* Performs the monthly close and financial statement preparation
* Analyzes operating results and business processes
* Creates and supports an internal control environment that safeguards company assets
* Responsible for leadership, development, and functional oversight of all finance
Supervisory Responsibilities
* Supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, and budgeting duties
* Provide training and development for staff in finance management, budgeting, SOX compliance and any other needs identified in the department
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or CPA
* 10+ years' experience in Accounting functions
* Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
* Strong ERP experience, Lawson preferred
* Strong analytical and management skills
* Ability to travel up to 25%
* Proven ability to develop relationships with individuals at all levels internally and externally, and to work with teams as both a leader and a participant
* Strong project management skills including the ability to lead projects and prioritize among multiple requirements and deadlines
