Controller Accounting Manager

Job description

As the Controller Accounting Manager, you will oversee our company's financial operations, ensuring the integrity of accounting information by establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. This role will be the sole accounting position within the company and will have a wide range of responsibilities.

Duties:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
• Manage and supervise a team of accountants and bookkeepers
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable
• Perform accrual accounting and month-end closing activities
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making
• Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• CPA certification preferred
• Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Quickbooks or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance principles and financial management practices
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills
