What we are looking for:
Are you a health/science journalist with a passion for Mental Health? Have you worked as a freelance or staff writer for health or science publications? Do you have the bandwidth to contribute a minimum of four articles per month (roughly one per week) that are approximately 2000 words in length?
Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality, well-researched, and SEO-optimized content that captures high-volume, high-intent web traffic
- Interview clinical experts and ensure that content is authoritative and approachable, with an emphasis on helping people regain their life from OCD
- Maintain a high bar for editorial standards
- Use your skills as a writer to turn Mental Health jargon into digestible and engaging narratives
- Uphold excellent copyediting skills with strong attention to details like spelling, grammar, and clarity
- Meet deadlines and adhere to our writing guidelines
Qualifications:
- US based applicants
- BS/BA in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
- 5+ years of experience in digital or print as a long-form health or science journalist
- Familiarity with SEO tools / writing content that is optimized for search
- Bonus point for any special interest in issues surrounding Mental Health
