Job Description
Great opportunity within the Life Cycle Support Solutions Product Line to join a great team of professionals working on supporting a range of BAE Systems Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems deployed worldwide. This is a fast-paced strategic area in the BAE Systems Electronic Solutions Business Sector.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

As a Contract Administrator II, you will support the proposal development, negotiation, and management of various contract activities in accordance with company policies, legal and customer requirements with guidance provided by senior level Contract Administrators or Contract Management. Interpret and communicate business commitments and alternatives to program team and management. Position requires some previous knowledge and/or the ability to learn government and commercial contracting methods, applicable laws and regulations. Expected to continue to build the basic knowledge, skills and experience required for the effective contract management to include negotiations and regular communication with customers and management. In this role, you will develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with both internal and external customers.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop a working understanding of the US Government Acquisition and Procurement process, the BAE Systems Contracts function and relevant company policies and procedures, commercial contracting methods, FAR/DFARS, export and other government regulations.
  • Research contract language and provide options regarding disposition of complex terms and conditions to higher level Contract Administrators or Contract Management.
  • Take a lead role in contract negotiations and other activities such as fact-finding and support of data calls that are required.
  • Act as a point of contact between the Company and the Customer for all contractual matters on assigned contracts. Negotiate routine contracts and changes commensurate with experience and demonstrated competence under the specific guidance of the higher-level Contracts Administrator or Contracts Leadership.
  • Responsibilities also include coordinating with other company functions as required to ensure appropriate reviews are conducted, scheduling required reviews, and obtaining required review and approval signatures prior to submittal of proposals or execution of contractual documents.
  • Perform all aspects of assigned contract or purchase order processing under minimal supervision including, but not limited to, accuracy of order entry data, contract funding, scope changes, contract amendments, receipts and delivery schedules, legal requirements and other commitments.
  • Compile and maintain all required contractual records and documents in accordance with contract requirements and Company policies and procedures.
  • Support and provide contractual advice and counsel to company management at all levels as required.
  • Develop specialized contracting knowledge in areas such as FAR/DFARS regulations, International Business, Offset and Teaming Agreements.
  • This is a hybrid position

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of relevant Contract or equivalent experience
  • Customer service focus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to multitask and work under frequent deadlines
  • Ability to learn job-related material through on-the-job training
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience using personal computers and related software to maintain and access databases and prepare reports
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64130 - $109010
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
