This position is for a Lab Technician working in our Engineering Lab Support team. The position is a temporary/contract one located in our Salem New Hampshire location.
This position is also for a night-shift (any ~8 hr slot between 11PM and 8AM, Sun/Mon night through Thu/Fri night ).
A successful candidate will have the necessary skills and experience to be able to:
- Install equipment in data center racks, per identified locations utilizing proper installation materials.
- Utilize correct cabling to provide console, KVM, network and/or power connectivity.
- Use cabling best practices to route cables efficiently.
- Record & update databases with the equipment location, port numbers, cable serial numbers; and
- Ability to label both ends for identification.
- Remove packaging materials and ensure a safe working environment.
- Insert the cable into the proper switch or server port, as identified by the customer topology or template.
- Verify an active working connection and secure properly, excess cabling for future use or end to end tracing.
