Description
You as a Continuous Improvement Specialist will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for understanding end-to-end master data processes and flows and using knowledge in designing and implementing master data management solutions. Providing business process, system support and data quality governance for master data through data coordination and integration in ensuring efficient processes and consistent data flow to business and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
- In establishing and maintaining a Continuous Improvement (Cl) culture in PGHV Hitachi GIS Dammam Factory focusing on Improved manufacturing efficiencies through - Synchronization between production units and feeder factories, whereby integrated planning functionalities will lead to improved load balancing.
- Improving cross-project efficiency and integration in resource planning and supplier management.
- Competitive edge for high complexity orders by maximizing an agile and transparent supply chain able to fulfil short lead times - in turn, additional sales volumes execution allow us to benefit from economies of scale and improved purchasing prices.
- Digitalizing or eliminating of manual tasks at site level (e.g., through S/4 HANA instead of standalone workbooks).
- Production Planning Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) will be used, optimizing plans and resources scheduled, as well as order dates and times. Through a better coordination of resources, production and procurement, this module will - Increasing planning accuracy and material availability, improving quality of processes.
- Allowing E2E demand planning from forecast to supplier stock handling (if linked to Sales Force Dot Com - SFCD), optimizing Inventory Turnover (ITO) and WIP.
- Improving On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance. Improving alignment between planning and execution and resource utilization. Increasing scheduling accuracy.
- Business-oriented and global standardization of processes, tools as well as roles & responsibilities, e.g., Supply Base Management (Supplier -Qualification, -Evaluation, -Classification) Contract Management
- More efficient collaboration with suppliers based on improved electronic platforms, such as Inquiry Management (e-Sourcing), Purchase Order e-Collaboration (SCC)
- Improvising spend and inventory transparency on Factory level.
- Executing the local approach in Continuous Improvement and strategy deployment via S/4 HANA. Facilitating best practice sharing within GIS Dammam location.
- Through project and training, identifying key team member in each function to supporting in execution of projects within the location. Encouraging key individuals in further developing skills in L6S and advocating for them if projects come up that need their skillset. Mentoring and coaching Business Cl candidates.
- Understanding the organization's vision, objectives and improvement needs and suggesting projects, improvement actions and L6S tools in achieving objectives. Working with leaders to identify and access the best resources (internal) with which to work.
- Providing organization-wide visibility of the current portfolio of Continuous Improvement efforts tracking via metrics or KPls progress and value from these efforts in helping decision makers allocate resources and recognize success, with special focus on operational cost reduction. In working effectively with other Cl leaders to standardizing processes and developing best practices.
- Providing training, coaching and facilitation support to individuals and teams so that they are better equipped to drive their improvement efforts for themselves. In driving standardization and consistency within the L6S project and to make sure the knowledge is well transferred within the GB community.

Your background
- A bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- 10+ years of experience required.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
