Job Description
SUMMARY
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to develop their Continuous Improvement capabilities through the development and implementation of innovative solutions and facilitate CI tools and methodologies. To monitor progress and support as necessary to drive project implementation and sustainability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Works with Site leadership, Site CI lead, Regional CI lead, local CI coordinator(s) and others where applicable to understand critical areas of opportunity.
  • Supports reduction in TAT/DTM and other key metrics through innovative solutions.
  • Supports and positively drives 5S improvements.
  • Must be able to manage and interact effectively with diverse groups and personalities.
  • Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must have strong written and presentation skills.
  • Coordinates mapping of value streams in order to develop improvement targets.
  • Facilitates training, team meetings and kaizen events.
  • Consults with suppliers and customers as needed to achieve goals.
  • Motivates and mentors others in the Continuous Improvement culture.
  • Inspires a culture of change and improvement.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum two years' experience in Operations Management or equivalent.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Strong communication and presentation skills (Bilingual: English/Spanish a plus). Ability to develop training presentations, standard work documents, newsletter articles. Ability to effectively present information to all levels of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be a proficient user of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point. Additional computer skills a plus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions; extreme heat; and vibration. There is also an occasional but minimal exposure to a risk of radiation; fumes or airborne particles; or caustic chemicals; . Exposures to noise in the work environment range from very quiet to very loud throughout a typical work day
