A leading professional development and networking company is looking for a Content Writer. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating content for a set of products that align with the needs of a line of business. The ideal candidate has the ability to collaborate with partners and team members across locations to gather the information required to develop relevant and complete content for our help center audiences. Content Writer Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $60-$70/hr
- Worksite: Leading professional development and networking company (Sunnyvale, CA 94085, Open to remote)
- W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
- 40 hours/week, 7 Month Assignment
Content Writer Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver accurate and timely content for a line of business with guidance from the senior/manager.
- Develop high-quality content as per KMS quality program and based on inputs from stakeholders.
- Build subject matter expertise for a designated area of work.
- Monitor and leverage content data to determine the health of content and share insights with partners and writers.
- Create and present project plans to business partners that are clear, and concise, and establish agreement among business partners to see through the plan.
- Collaborate, build relationships, and share knowledge with global team members and partners as needed.
- Participate in the peer-to-peer review process to improve the quality of content and provide open, honest, and constructive feedback.
- Prioritize, resolve, and respond to internal inquiries/cases in a timely fashion.
- Master our Voice and Tone and contribute to the development of the Help Style Guide.
- Model our culture and values and actively participate in developing a healthy team culture.
- Work with a Senior Content Strategist to create a data-driven content strategy, provide timely content for feature releases, and interact with product leadership and partners to understand the evolution of the products.
- Work closely with Product Operations, Product Education, and Project Management teams to create and define a great content experience for our members and customers.
Content Writer Qualifications:
- 3+ years of industry and technical writing experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, or related .
- Experience in Technical Writing or Knowledge Management practices.
- Experience in working with content management systems (any) and authoring tools (any).
- Experience in designing, developing, and delivering e-learning solutions using tools like WalkMe is preferred.
- Experience in DITA or other topic-based authoring methodology is preferred.
- Sound analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of Information Mapping, Topic-based writing , or similar methodologies is preferred.
- Proficiency in using authoring tools such as XMetal, and Oxygen, will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in SharePoint, Wiki, CRM, and (any) is preferred.
- A team player who can develop strong relationships with partner and writing team is preferred.
- Enjoy working within teams (both local and global) but can also work independently is preferred.
- Curious, innovative, and passionate about learning is preferred.
- Positive attitude and growth mindset are preferred.
- Flexible and willing to help with other projects, as needed is preferred.
