Content Writer

Purpose of Job
Newegg is looking to hire a Content Writer who will be in charge of overseeing the content marketing of the Newegg professional services for sellers and vendors, marketplace seller acquisition, and Newegg B2B-facing branding. As a successful hire, you will be responsible for developing a content marketing strategy that aligns with the overall team strategy, crafting content to power campaigns for various segments of current and prospective marketplace sellers.
Job Description

• Research manufacturer information on the Web and other internal sources to establish authoritative information.
• Research and establish authoritative information for products.
• Use content management tools to fix or update information.
• Work with sellers and other third parties to enhance their content on our website.
• Perform content quality assurance and enhance content for promotional products based on content and website conventions.
• Perform content quality assurance and enhance content for promotional products based on content and website conventions.
• Assist in managing user experience on our website, considering visuals, navigation, layout, and maintaining consistency of website's look and feel.
• Write original copy or other marketing/promotional-related materials.
• Report regularly on content performance, with data-driven actions for optimization.
• Other content writing duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Intermediate web research skills a must.
• Experience working with content management systems or databases a plus.
• Previous experience creating or working with web content categorization / taxonomy, and faceted search strongly preferred.
• Previous copywriting experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of HTML a plus.
• Previous troubleshooting or Helpdesk experience a plus.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel.
• Previous data analysis experience and basic knowledge of databases a plus.
• Previous experience working with product data attributes a plus.

Pay Transparency
This job posting may span more than one job level.
The base salary range for this position in City of Industry, CA is $21 - $28 hourly.
In addition to base salary, this job is eligible additional annual bonus or incentive. Additionally, Newegg offers a wide range of benefits to U.S.-based employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) program with employer match, and generous time off for vacation and sick.
