To advance the purpose of InterVarsity Press, this person will provide leadership in the areas of content development and project management for a key five-year project(s) funded by the Lilly Endowment Fund to create resources that support parents, pastors, and caregivers in discipling children and youth.
Status: Full time (40 hrs/week)/Salaried, Exempt
Location: Lisle, IL (hybrid/remote work agreement by arrangement, local preferred; IVP is currently unable to employ remotely in California/Missouri)
Pay: $40,000-45,000 annually
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage Content Development for Lilly Grant Projects by:
- Participating in the creation of Phase 1 and 2 Lilly grant projects (i.e., audiobook and podcast), in partnership with the Lilly grant project leader.
- Creating the process of developing content based on IVP materials for grant projects in Phase 3 and 4, with input and direction from the project leader.
- Overseeing work of staff and/or interns who are contributing to the content development process.
- Researching and evaluating options for technological solutions to assist with the content generation process.
- Meeting regularly with Editorial and Marketing colleagues to ensure synergy with IVP Kids and other relevant projects.
- Developing strong working relationships with external production partners in the content development process.
- Assisting with research and communicating with internal and external advisory teams.
- Writing scripts and/or production notes as needed to develop Phase 3 and 4 projects.
- Creating regular progress reports for the Lilly grant team members and advisory team(s).
Administratively Supporting the Lilly Grant by:
- Creating systems and structures needed to carry out grant-related content development tasks.
- Keeping team members and advisory team regularly apprised of content development progress.
- Troubleshooting as needed to keep project goals on track.
- Developing communication vehicles to update IVP staff and invite feedback/participation as needed, with direction from the Lilly grant project manager.
- Assisting in the creation of annual reports and other requested materials from the Lilly Endowment Fund, with direction from the Lilly grant project manager
- Partnering with the Lilly grant project manager as needed to provide support for the internal communication and marketing of key deliverables.
- Developing process for handling metadata necessary to ensure proper ingestion of multimedia products that emerge from the grant projects.
- Serving as the team's supplier and invoice requestor for Workday AP purposes.
Participate in the Lilly Grant team by:
- Participating as needed in brainstorming and planning meetings with fellow team members related to the Lilly grant projects.
- Assisting Lilly grant project/marketing manager as needed in the areas of copywriting and marketing research.
- Assisting with quality control and assessment of grant projects as needed.
- Providing additional support and assistance as needed with related tasks connected with the Lilly grant projects.
- Developing strong working relationships both with internal colleagues and external production partners in the content development process.
Maintain Professional Growth and Development by:
- Seeking training and development in multimedia publishing, project management, and communications
- Learning and staying up to date with IVP policies and practices
- Becoming adept with IVP project management software and processes
- Becoming familiar with IVP's catalog of backlist titles and seasonal new releases
QUALIFICATIONS

- Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint) preferred
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to work in a diverse team environment
- Flexibility to attend the Urbana Student Missions Conference every six years, Dec 26-Jan 1, and National Staff Conference every three years (the year after Urbana), approximately Jan 2-7.

Associate Content Specialist - Level 5
The Associate Content Specialist will be responsible for all of the above and will typically have a four-year undergraduate degree and three years of experience in related areas such as publishing, audio/video production, or administrative work.
Content Specialist - Level 6
The Content Specialist will be responsible for all of the above and will typically have a four-year undergraduate degree and at least five years of experience in related areas such as publishing, audio/video production, or administrative work. They will typically have prior experience in managing the progress of projects and processes.
