Ernie Ball, the world’s leading manufacturer of strings and accessories and Ernie Ball Music Man, a leader in revolutionizing guitar and bass instruments, is seeking a motivated, innovative, and creative Content Manager to add to our growing Marketing team! As the Content Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing a healthy consistency of digital content to support both of our brands across all online platforms. The Content Manager will work directly with the Digital Marketing, Creative, and Artist Relations teams to develop, create, and manage all digital content. This role requires a self-starter who can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and stay focused when faced with changing requirements. The ideal candidate will be a team player and someone who is comfortable presenting to executive management. This is an in-office / hybrid position where you will work with the creative and digital marketing team located right in the heart of Downtown SLO.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have experience with filming short form video content and will need to have a grasp on photography basics.
Must have experience with basic video and photography editing and have an eye for tasteful, company/brand appropriate social content.
Requires knowledge of music gear and/or instruments and a passion for social media.
Must exemplify organizational skills to provide content deliverables with appropriate timelines based on each campaign.
Must be comfortable managing multiple cross-functional projects at once.
This person is required to have excellent communication skills and must be a strong, creative copywriter.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Drive completion of high-quality content in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Work directly with our Digital Marketing Manager on a day-to-day basis to come up with successful content strategies, review performance, and adapt quickly.
Create, organize, and deliver a digital content hub to the Digital Marketing team for both product and brand affinity campaigns, this includes organic social media and paid digital advertising.
Facilitate projects, align with the team on priorities, allocate resources, and smoothen collaboration with executive management.
Work with the team to ideate, film, and create short-form video content – creating posts based on campaign strategy.
Pursue and communicate directly with artists, influencers, and freelance partners for user generated content and/or freelance creative opportunities.
Identify artists/influencers for specific content pieces.
Ensure copywriting meets content standards, being both effective and in the appropriate brand voice.
Responsible for managing effective social media content coverage at Ernie Ball artist shows/music festivals, behind the scenes at video/photo shoots, and event activations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Marketing or other related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience in content asset management, digital marketing, or integrated marketing.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite with basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with social media content marketing for brands preferably with at least 50K followers or more – music or guitar industry brands are a plus!
Experience managing and launching digital projects and campaigns across multiple platforms.
Interpretation of metrics and campaign results, and being able to formulate actionable recommendations.
Successful prior experience working with teams to translate objectives into functional strategies and tactics.
Experience in application of digital asset management and/or cloud technology.
Knowledge of and experience in the consumer brands, entertainment, and/or product marketing is desirable.
A background and knowledge with music gear and/or instruments is required.
