POSITION SUMMARY:

The Content Editor translates the brand positioning into seasonal voice for all platforms: digital, print, social. The Content Editor ensures the effective execution of all brand copy and contributes to a consistent, unified voice in all communication. Responsible for writing and/or editing all copy from product to editorial to marketing and incorporating the brand voice in all media including web, email, social, print and marketing collateral. Ensures copy adheres to set style guides and standards of accuracy. Generates and revises copy under tight deadlines.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participates in copy development from product copy to editorial, working at all stages
  from design integration to copy release
• Executes seasonal content direction with a thorough understanding of product offering
• Contributes to story development and product curation in merchant turnover
  meetings and creative reviews
• Crafts effective messages that combine emotion and promotion and successfully meet
  marketing and merchandising objectives
• Work closely with Merch/E-Comm teams to ensure all copy deadlines are met for
• publishing new product copy to the website.
• Consult with SEO Manager quarterly to ensure best practices are being implemented
• for SEO copy content.
• Writes web copy including site updates, email campaigns and digital advertising
• Writes copy pertaining to contests, promotions and other activities generated as
  a result of Marketing or Public Relations initiatives with attention to open rate statistics.
• Develops and maintains SEO copy enhancement for editorial and product copy
• Continually assesses product copy to ensure the most relevant and brand-building content
• Ensures copy accuracy as related to brand style guides.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, creative writing, or related field
• 5 years writing/editorial experience preferably in fashion or home retail.
• Ability to develop content for web, email, social, print, digital advertising and all customer-facing portals.
• Knowledge of digital and print publishing processes as well as layout design fundamentals for each.
• An avid reader and consumer, familiar with fashion brands, fashion magazines, blogs, and up to speed with social media trends
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for effective interaction with all
  levels of company management and personnel
• Strong collaboration skills and attention to detail
• Candidates must have working knowledge of and be able to work in InDesign and Photoshop.
