Job Title: Consumer Real Estate Doc Specialist Department: Loan Center
Job Summary:
Assists Consumer Mortgage Lenders with legal and regulatory and loan policy requirements needed in the processing and closing of CONSUMER REAL ESTATE secured loans.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for making sure loans meet all regulatory and loan policy requirements.
- Responsible for reviewing worksheets for new loans and modifications to determine documents needed for completion.
- Prepares LOAN DOCuments according to the offer/loan committee specifications, while also meeting compliance standards.
- Process consumer loans, as needed, to comply with regulatory requirements & loan policy.
- Verifies underwriting analysis completed by the officer.
- Orders flood statements, title work, and appraisal requests on RE loans.
- Responsible for monitoring loan process - coordinates and assists with loan officer/closers in obtaining required title work and clearing up any title issues, while also doing other loan closing preparations.
- Responsible for booking loans to the core system, initial set up on collateral tracking, and transfers out of in-process accounts, once loan has been closed.
- Responsible for working the Exception Report on a weekly basis - following up on any unresolved issues with loans, such as lien and mortgage filings, releases, final title work, etc.
- Reviews for accuracy and uploaded documentation, once booked on the core.
- Currently, not responsible for any customer contact.
- Attends the training sessions for continued education on lending functions, regulatory and loan policy changes.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to multi-task while having excellent time management and communication skills.
- Must be detailed oriented.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of banking experience.
- Experience with Encompass is preferred, but not required.
