This position will have remote and hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address at the discretion of the supervisor and based on business need.

Description of Job
The salary range for this posting is:
$32.74 - $40.15 Hourly
$2,619.23 - $3,211.85 Biweekly
$5,675.00 - $6,959.00 Monthly

The Energy and Industry Consultant will coordinate across the Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC), Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), Colorado Department of Labor and Employer (CDLE), the Colorado Energy Office (CEO), the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the Colorado Community College System (CCCS) to develop and implement a strategic workforce development plan to leverage infrastructure funding and public investments to advance an inclusive workforce development plan àaaain renewable energy that prioritizes a focus on job quality and helps the state to meet its goal of transitioning to 100% renewable energy by 2040.
More specifically, this position is responsible for:
  • Initiating and managing contracts funded by the Families and Workers fund to meet inclusive renewable energy goals
  • Developing and coordinating the implementation of a strategic workforce plan to increase diversity and job quality within energy and infrastructure jobs in support of the Governor's goals to transition Colorado to 100% renewable energy
  • Engage a network of organizations led by and serving BIPOC, New Americans, women and other underrepresented populations to integrate the needs and interests of these populations in workforce development strategies, employment and training opportunities in renewable energy and infrastructure and connect them with quality jobs within these sectors
  • Deepening cross-agency coordination across CWDC, CDLE, CEO, CDOT, OEDIT and CCCS to leverage infrastructure funding to advance the strategic workforce plan in renewable energy and infrastructure and coordinate demand-driven career pathways
  • Facilitate the launch of an energy sector partnership(s) to ensure a collaborative, industry-led approach
  • Inform strategy and provide project management support for the Colorado Cleanrange Coalition, Colorado's tech hub in advanced energy
  • Promote jobs and career pathways in renewable energy within the TalentFOUND network and Colorado's Climate Action Working group

This is a two-year grant funded, term limited position created with support from the Families and Workers Fund. Person occupying this position will be asked to sign a waiver of retention rights.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.
AND
Three years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position to include: Workforce and economic development, training and/or experience with collective impact/strategic partnership development. This experience must also include at least one of the following: Experience in the Energy Industry, engaging Energy Industry partnerships/stakeholders.

Conditions of Employment:
  • Must be a Colorado resident at time of application.
