Job Description:
Dynamo Technologies is seeking an Audio Visual (A/V) Technician to support our USDA Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) contract. The A/V Technician will support to provide the expertise, technical knowledge, customer service support, and other related tasks in support of the management and maintenance of the FNS telecommunications infrastructure. This support is crucial to the achievement of FNS business and performance goals and meeting the escalating expectations of business customers and staff for high availability and reliable access to services and applications.
Duties/ Responsibilities
The Audio / Visual Technician will have a central role in setting up, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the audio/visual (A/V) systems located at Braddock Place Headquarters and seven FNS regional offices. The A/V Engineer will assist with recommending an A/V solution, assisting with the install, implementation, and configuration of the A/V technologies to meet the broadcasting needs of the organization, as well as the following responsibilities:
- Ensure the A/V hardware and software is configured to meet the requirements of the FNS organization.
- Operates the controls of A/V systems during events.
- Provides instructions and an overview to users on how to utilize the A/V systems.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and problem-solving of hardware and software required for the A/V system
- Storing, transporting, assembling, and disassembling A/V equipment.
- Updates of A/V documentation and develops User Guides.
- Completes the procurement process for cabling and wiring to implement technologies into A/V setups.
- Has experience or industry knowledge to support Cisco Room Kits, Creston, and Polycom A/V.
- Has experience or industry knowledge to support webinars utilizing Cisco WebEx, Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
- Understands the technical infrastructure and configuration for A/V technologies and IT systems
- Awareness of the latest trends, hardware, and features in A/V equipment
- Familiarity with graphics, encoding and video editing software.
- Interpersonal, delegation, and teamwork skills.
- The ability to clearly understand to and respond to requirements as communicated by other members of the Team.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting and problem-solving of hardware and software required for the A/V system
- Understands the technical infrastructure and configuration for A/V technologies and IT systems
- Experience or industry knowledge to support Cisco Room Kits, Creston, and Polycom A/V
- Experience in creating A/V documentation and user guides
- Excellent customer service
- Experience or industry knowledge to support webinars utilizing Cisco WebEx, Microsoft Teams and Zoom
- Familiarity with graphics, encoding and video editing software
- Organized, self-starter
- Strong communication skills
- U.S Citizenship required
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree
