We are seeking a friendly, experienced, detail and service-oriented AV Technician. This position requires experience in installing audio-video systems. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with the following: basic construction techniques, Audio-video devices; Cable pulling; Mounting of TV's, screens, projectors; Basic IT knowledge; basic electrical knowledge; experience with Crestron, AMX, Extron, Kramer, Biamp, Smart or similar products is a plus.
Typical work hours are Monday thru Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm (however, over time, some extended stays, and/or weekend hours maybe required). Local travel consists of the Maryland, DC, and Virginia areas. Additionally, reliable transportation, a clean driving record, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required.
All candidates must pass a comprehensive criminal background check and a drug screening/testing. Daly is a drug-free workplace.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Under the direction of a Project Manager, coordinate onsite job performance and completion
· Responsible for the direction of the onsite team duties
· Perform on-site audiovisual equipment installation for our clients, including low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment rack setup, plasma/LCD, projectors and projection systems, media rooms, audio hardware and speakers, control systems, and some programming based on experience
· Perform cable pull-paths, diagnosis structural/room interior for efficient and optimum installations, crimp and terminate audio and video cables
· Assist with installations and programming of classroom/boardroom AV automation/control systems
· Install video conferencing systems and audio-video racks.
· Read and interpret AV System drawings, schematics, and construction plans
· Install low voltage wiring and cable, solder and terminate connectors
· Assemble/disassemble appropriate supports/mounts
· Patch walls where applicable
Qualifications:
· Any industry certifications, such as CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, BICSI.
· Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and work within varied conditions some which may be small or confined.
· Must be comfortable working on ladders and on lifts as required.
· Ability to read and write schematics and architectural drawings.
· Basic understanding of AV and network test equipment.
· Basic knowledge of network topology.
· Ability to work on high ladders.
· Capable of logically and systematically troubleshooting issues.
· Ability to communicate effectively.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Experience in Structural installation of displays, screens, and projectors.
· Maintain professional work appearance and outstanding customer interaction.
