Job Description
Alliance Global Solutions is a leading provider of internet and phone services, and we are expanding our Construction team in Hanover, PA. We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Construction Supervisor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead installations of drops and fiber splicing in residential and small business sites.
- Attend construction meetings.
- Verify proper scheduling of crews to work in an efficient manner and that work is being performed in accordance with the plant layout and specifications.
- Document changes to the scope of work. Schedules manpower and material delivery per crew.
- Provides 1/2/3 and 5/10/15 day look ahead.
- Provides daily updates to the Director of Fiber Services.
- Measures work for quality and safety.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Must possess the aptitude to learn new technologies (Required)
- Minimum 5 years of industry installation experience ( Required)
- Must have a valid Driver’s license (Required)
- Knowledge of supervisory techniques and tools to include fiber drops and splicing in residential and small business
- Ability to read and understand documents such as Fiber Buildout, policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must possess strong performance management, and communication skills in order to deliver a consistent message of performance expectations
- Coach/mentor drop crew and splicers on new technical practices to maintain or increase efficiency
- Evaluate performance through the use of quality and safety observations and metrics
- Work with the Director of Fiber Services to schedule workforce appropriate to workload and analyze previous workload trends to make necessary adjustments
- Must be able to work flexible hours with the understanding that workdays can be in excess of normal hours and some weekend and holiday work may be required
- All team members must be physically able to climb ladders, dig holes, push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be comfortable working with hand basic tools: drill, screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, splicers, shovel, etc.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite as well as Google Sheets and Google Forms
- Must be self-motivated and professionally efficient when unsupervised
- Responsible for company property including vehicle, equipment and material
Pay Scale:
$52,000- $60,000 Yearly * Based on Experience and/or Education
