Duties:
- Assist with the care of patients in a healthcare setting, under the supervision of registered nurses or other medical staff
- Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and administering medications
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the medical team
- Assist with sterile processing and maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
- Provide support to patients with special needs, such as those requiring gastric lavage or airway management
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks and Cerner to document patient information
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs is preferred
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) and its proper use is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Ability to handle stressful situations and provide compassionate care in behavioral health settings
