An employee in this position supervises a Bridge Inspection Team that performs a variety of technical duties associated with the safety inspection of bridges and structures, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS). In addition, you will oversee the inspection of bridges for conditions such as accident damage, water scouring of footings, wear or corrosion on pins, eye-bars, and other steel members, and condition of bearings and inspects bridge components, measures bridge members, clearances, sketching and recording deterioration, and rating bridge components.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after initial onboarding. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Indiana.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Transportation Construction Inspector; or
- Two years of construction inspection experience and an associate's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:
- This position is required to meet the qualifications for a Bridge Inspection Team Leader as defined by the current National Bridge Inspection Standards.
- This position requires possession of a valid non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License or equivalent.
