Prestige CM is specialized in providing construction management and project controls services. We are seeking a project enginner for upcoming projects.
The ideal candidate will perform project controls and engineering assignments function in Construction Project management for transportation and other infrastructure projects; must possess a solid grasp of fundamental engineering principles and exercise sound technical judgment. Under the supervision, this position will require solving problems of low to medium difficulties. The responsibilities will include: working with internal and external parties to plan, develop and execute project controls projects, research, preparing project estimates, billing or other reports to assess accuracy and conformance; and other duties as assigned. The selected candidate may require to travel in Bay Area Offices as required.
Scope of Work:
- Provides monthly project reports addressing project schedule, cost and other key elements
- Prepare, review, forward and track status of submittals;
- Process RFI, RFS, submittals, design changes with stakholders
- Prepare cost estimate and review change orders;
- Prepares bids and purchase requisitions, packages for approval
- Coordinates design, construction, and startup of for new system
- Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential problems, develop contingency plans, and risk assessments
- Develop meeting minutes, action item list and actively coordinate with both internal and external parties to assure the timely close out the outstanding items.
- Manage and process contractor's billing, and contracts amendment
- Prepare schedule and review of contractor's schedule.
- Prepare documentation for Project Closeout and coordinate with client, contractor and trade contractors.
Skills & Abilities:
- Effective written, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team involving staff, clients, and outside agencies
- Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, Presentation, and Primavera Scheduling Softwares
- Strong problem-solving skills, including identifying data quality issues
- Strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize activities and work with limited supervision
- Detail minded
- Results-oriented and able to complete tasks on deadline with little supervision
- Ability to make good decisions using sound, professional judgment
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Construction Management Required
- Valid California Driver’s License and Work Permit (Green card/US Citizen) Required
- 1-3 years of professional relevant experience required; a Master’s Degree in Engineering will be considered as one year
