Project Engineer / Field Engineer
General Job Description
NSM Project Engineers are responsible for providing key support and focus in all areas of project management as required by all team members. They maintain and process project information in accordance with NSM procedures.
*Opportunity does exist for Project Engineers seeking a career pathway toward a field-based Site Manager position also. Training and experience can be catered to support the right individuals’ aspirations inside NSM and toward that role.
Directly Assists
Operations Manager / Project Manager / Site Manager as needed
Responsibilities / Specific Tasks
To support all Team Members by way of:
Assist with Estimating
Take-offs
Trade Proposal Verification
Pre-Construction
Save Plans
Review Plan Set
Set up Autodesk- Build / Box Folder
Use Bluebeam for Takeoffs
Obtain Utility approvals
Send out requests for approvals
Complete County Permit Checklists
Obtain any and all Permits
Tape plan sets
Creates OSHA Binder for all jobsites
Organize project start-up – signs/dumpsters/toilets/fire extinguishers/snow removal etc.
Plan Management
Construction document control - Saving and updating plans on Box, Autodesk Build
OSHA and Safety Binders/Boxes
Create for all job sites
Create all Work Authorizations, AWAs and SCOs
Confirm with PM/SM scope of work is accurate before sending Work Authorization
Make sure all material orders are accurate and attached to a PO/Work Authorization
Create all AWAs per PM/SM direction and confirm client sign-off through DocuSign
Create all SCOs to make sure trade partner contracts are accurate before work commences
AP/AR
Inputs and approves project Invoices
Design Selections
Assist with all project design selections through tracking and entering on Autodesk Build
Communication
Client
Architect
Designer
Trade Partners
Vendors
Meeting Minutes
Assist with Agendas and Meeting Minutes/Action Items
Manage Autodesk - Build
QA/QC
Complete QA/QC checklist per project
Project Close-Out
Create Owner Manual

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
