Growth opportunity, professional development and a culture of support and resources are provided to each employee for their personal growth and success within Tilcon New York Inc., and CRH.Position OverviewThis position is responsible for management of construction/paving projects from solicitation to final closeout. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple project managers/superintendent's at once and communicating directly with upper management.Roles and Responsibilities Lead and uphold TNY values Reinforce and lead by example on TNY safety culture Ensure a safe work environment by overseeing compliance and employee involvement with all safety policies, conducting training and safety audits and providing appropriate tools and equipment to personnel Daily, 2 week and 90 day schedule development and communication Maintain appropriate interaction and communication with other departments; prepared attendance to pre-construction meetings; provide technical advice and resolve project concerns, participate in weekly staff, material movement and equipment meetings Manage multiple PM's and/or Superintendent's Assist in project supervision Project hand off to set clear expectations detailing aspects of the project that are critical to its success Project budget review and plans to improve cost/schedule Cost control and revenue/cost projections/forecasts Provide costs reports, cost projections, work schedules, and daily reports of operating efficiency on projects Monitor equipment utililazation reports on the daily basis Monitor Quality control reports Ensure deadlines are met Project close out and Retainage payment Communicate with owners, engineers and general contractors on projects Maintains professional demeanor in dealing with critical/confidential information; restricts discussion/knowledge of activity to a "need to know" basis. Regular and timely attendance is required Other duties as may be assignedMarginal Duties and Functions Assists other departments as requested or assigned Provide input for strategic development opportunities Responsible for knowing and controlling costs and resulting departments profit/loss Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws including but not limited to succession planning, interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraise performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems Monitor daily change order tracking Monitor project submittal logsQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Education/ExperienceRequired High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with 10 years+ of practical work experience. Must possess a valid State driver's license Computer savvyPreferred* Bachelor's degree (B.S.

or B.E.) from four year college or university At least 3 years' experience in an operations leadership role. Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the preferred knowledge, skills and abilities. High level of proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointWork Requirements Strict adherence to safety requirements and company procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Must be willing to work nights and weekends when required. Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position is: Face Shield, Safety Glasses, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, Dust masks & Hearing Protection.Knowledge/Skill Requirements Strong verbal communication skills Self-motivated and conscientious Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong action orientation and drive for results.
