BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The Construction & Facilities Engineer provides design, implementation and management for moderately complex oil, gas, and water surface facilities and pipelines. Works with a broad group of Facilities Engineers, production staff, and EHS staff.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Facilities Engineer and/or related experience in production, plant, pipeline and SWD facility design, construction and operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop designs and drawings for area specific production facilities to assure compliance with government regulations (local, state/province, federal, etc.) and maximum flow efficiency and hydrocarbon recovery
• Troubleshoot mechanical failure of production equipment
• Prepares project specific release to construction (P&ID, EPFD, BOM, VRU sizing, CTB and well pad plot plan, SOW, C&E, etc.)
• Design and develop detailed cost estimates and construction timing for facilities. Serve as the project manager on construction of the facilities while working in conjunction with Devon field staff
• Use modeling software such as Promax
• Evaluate compression and pipeline design, capacity, and performance.
• Provides facility scenarios/strategy (scope and cost) to asset team
• Submits air permit requests, commingle narratives, and process flow diagrams to regulatory
• Coordinates 3rd party takeaway, surface sites, and flowline routes with field land
• Maintains major equipment demand plan rolling 12 months
• Provides project cost forecasts to planning x+24 budget cycle and well type cost to land for balloting
• Supports production team during flowback with facility design limitations and trouble-shooting
• Monitors regulatory changes/anticipated rule making and initiates design changes
• Communicate best practices on facilities throughout the division and company
• Work in conjunction with safety, environmental and field operations personnel to optimize well site safety and environmental performance
• In conjunction with EHS, evaluate, design, and modify controls to abate air emissions and maximize hydrocarbon recoveries with improved efficiencies
• Evaluate proper metallurgy, chemical treatments, and cathodic protection to protect surface facilities for use in various pressure, temperatures and corrosive environments
• Possess the right and obligation to stop work if an unsafe condition exists
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Oil and gas industry experience preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Creative individual, capable of analyzing and solving problems.
• Able to work independently
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project related goals
• Efficient time management and the ability to concurrently handle multiple projects
• Intermediate Level computer skills
• Ability to travel to field locations
