Position Details
Tilson is seeking an enthusiastic and task oriented Construction Coordinator (CC) to support the OSP Self Perform field operations. The CC will play a vital role in Tilson's onboarding agenda for new hires, by taking the coordination lead between Tilson's HR and Safety departments to facilitate and administrate the weekly onboarding of new hires. Additionally, The CC will support the Construction Managers with any administrative work flows needed including, sourcing, purchasing, and other operational coordinating action items.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating with HR & Safety to facilitate and administrate the weekly onboarding agenda for new hires.
- Assist new hires with onboarding making sure they use proper login credentials to access Tilson training modules.
- Responsible for promoting the Tilson brand (what we do), the Tilson culture (how we do it) and the Tilson vision (where we are doing it tomorrow) to all Tilson OSP Self-Perform new hires
- Provide onboarding guidance to new hires in adherence to the published onboarding agenda as provided by HR & Safety.
- Support the Construction Manager by providing sourcing, purchasing and general administrative coordination services.
- Coordinate regularly with other Tilson departments including Project Controls, Fleet, HR, Safety, Marketing and Accounts Payable as needed.
- Provide executive account management and business development for key clients.
- Provide point of escalation for internal and external stakeholders and serve as the accountable escalation and decision facilitator.
- Support the collection process of daily/weekly/monthly production data for metrics reporting purposes and to support Project Controls in their monthly review and reporting on OSP Self-Perform KPI's by acting as a liaison between field operations and Project Controls.
- Provide coordination support between the CM and HR for any employee related admin tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work-related experience) required in Business Administration or related degree/certifications.
- Experienced in Project Coordination and in supporting project and construction management teams across a regional/national footprint.
- Experienced in working with different departments within the same company to align on agendas, stakeholder work flows and project coordination accountability.
- Experience in working with OSP Fiber and Wireless networks preferred. Any underground construction or ROW work a bonus.
- Must have strong facilitator and organizational development skills and be well suited to multi-tasking workflows.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
- Proven record of working successfully with ambiguous information and limited direction (we call this running with the ball in the direction of the goal line).
Must be at least 21 years of age to meet Tilson's driving eligibility requirements.
