Job Description:

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Assistant Manager to join our team. This position is ideal for college students looking to gain valuable experience in the construction industry. The role involves supporting our project managers and construction teams in various tasks to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assist project managers in coordinating construction activities, job task distribution, scheduling, and budget management
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure projects are progressing according to plans and timelines
• Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Assist in sourcing materials and equipment needed for projects
• Maintain organized project documentation and records
• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Provide administrative support as needed

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in college or recent graduate in a relevant field (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, etc).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency on technical writing as third-party communication is a daily task.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and construction documents (highly desirable)
• Basic understanding of construction techniques and processes
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges

English & Spanish speaking is a plus as we have a lot of employees who speak Spanish.
