Job Summary
Our organization is currently seeking a CM to help us ensure that the performance, function, and appearance of our products are consistent. This involves managing the functional requirements, design, and operational information throughout each product's lifecycle. You will also develop migration plans and help oversee deployment. Applicants should have a bachelor's or master's degree as well as experience with configuration management tools.
CM Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and execute CM throughout the project lifecycle, including development, migration, deployment, and security
- Oversee the daily management of configuration items
- Review and update CM processes
- Ensure that all staff members follow CM processes
- Maintaining a Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) for software products
- Experience in DevOps/DevSecOps/Azure DevOps
- Specification of DevOps pipelines using YAML
- Work closely with Program Managers to reduce delays in formal release of products
- Maintain an awareness of regulatory changes and their impact on CM Policy/Processes
- Continuously improve and draft original language for standard templates, standard work, and internal policies and procedures
- Perform CM audits and provided training on CM related activity
CM Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Master's degree a plus
- 5-10 years’ experience in Software/Hardware Configuration Management (CM)
- Ability to write technical documents/procedures
- Experience with CM standards, processes and methods
- Quality Assurance test experience preferred
- Experience with GIT and other CM tools
- Experience managing complex IT projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional attention to details and talents for accuracy and precision
