GovCIO is currently hiring an Enterprise Configuration Manager for the Air Force BlueSCI network. This position will be located in San Antonio, Tx and will be an onsite position.
Responsibilities
Develops and maintains software Configuration Management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software and hardware products. Performs Configuration Management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use. May train software developers in the use of Configuration Management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. May be involved in product release management.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

- Designs and establishes documentation and release management protocols.
- Reviews released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to Configuration Management procedures and policies.
- Authorizes the release of drawings, and software configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups.
- Estimates production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management and client review, action, and control.
- Records information to ensure currency of engineering drawings and documentation of production problems.
- May authorize the release of product into production or development.
Specifically, this position will:
- Lead in the design and implementation of the entire Configuration Management framework, including identifying and documenting the items to be controlled and the information to be captured and recorded.
- Ensures the proper baseline identification of configuration items, perform periodic audits, and provide verification of version release configuration items.
- Develops, maintains, and implements CM process standards, plans, and procedures. Ensures changes to the process methods and processes are properly approved, communicated and managed throughout the CM lifecycle.
- Maintains status accounting records to ensure that current and historical configurations of products can be accurately determined throughout the product life cycle. Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and reports changes and current configuration.
- Participates in CCB/TRB teams and attends meetings with management and other functional groups to obtain information about and authorizations for the release of configuration items, drawings and software configuration changes specified as needed.
- Lead in the creation, management, and maintenance of each project specific Configuration Management Plan.
- May provide guidance to less experienced CM Specialists.
- Review and coordinate program-unique specifications
- Perform version control on all Enterprise Policy or process documentation
- Function as the Enterprise Change Manager (ECM)
- Attend CM related meetings and conferences
- Provide updates to the CM processes to the AF JWICS
- Conduct configuration audits IAW CCMP
- Facilitate ECCB meeting and coordinate meeting dates and agenda
- Maintain the Enterprise Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School with 10+ years of experience working with Change & Config Management
- Experience working with and updating Asset Management Policies and guidance
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Experience working with and updating Enterprise Change Policies and guidance
- Strong Experience using and creating elements in Service now for asset management
- Current ITILv4/CMII certification
- Clearance Required: TS/SCI
- Verified eligibility active on Day 1
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ Years serving as a Configuration Manager for a USAF organization
- Proven ability to coordinate with stakeholders and collaborate with other team members
- Experience designing and managing a CMDB
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Experience working in an AGILE environment
- Knowledge of CMMI Level 3 processes
