As a Control Manager Associate in Commercial Real Estate, you are responsible for monitoring adherence to all applicable banking regulations. You will monitor the Commercial Banks Fair Lending activities, provide oversight on all applicable banking regulations, and partner with the business to identify and implement best practices for optimal risk mitigation,
Job responsibilities:
- Review the accuracy of Commercial Bank’s HMDA weekly, monthly, and yearly LAR reporting
- Engage with control colleagues across Commercial Bank to receive and track necessary information to support the annual Fair Lending Risk Assessment
- Partner with other CRE Control Managers to effectively map new regulatory obligations to processes.
- Define and document control processes across all regulatory programs the business supports.
- Provide thought leadership in delivering recommendations for the development of the Commercial Bank Fair Lending Program.
- Identify possible control gaps and risks within the areas we support and determine viable solutions to mitigate those gaps and risks.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 5+ years professional work experience with adequate experience in operations, controls, audit, quality assurance, and/or compliance
- Team player and demonstrated work ethic - consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism in behavior and performance
- Effective organizational skills to meet multiple business needs and demonstrate delivery against key objectives
- Prior experience in developing business process while identifying possible risks and control gaps
- Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and project management skills
