SAIC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Configuration Analyst to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer; the Configuration Analyst is responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system. Assist in documenting and tracking all aspects of system development and modifications. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.
Job Duties
- Prepares deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met.
- Reviews all issued document change requests, document change notices and associated drawings for accuracy, completeness and proper signatures.
- Structures and maintains databases. Submits engineering changes to customers for review and approval; maintains records and submit reports regarding status.
- Prepares configuration verification audit record sheets for all programs.
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives.
- Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies.
- Establishes and recommends changes to policies, which affect subordinate organization(s).
- Develops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and five plus (5+) years related experience in Configuration Management specifically for missile warning or other national security space mission systems.
- Experience identifying, organizing, and coordinating software and hardware configuration changes for version management, system build, backup and recovery, archiving, and change management
- Oversee the establishment of baseline configurations for applications, software, and hardware assets
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Desired
- Managing configurations of geographically dispersed large-scale 24/7 operational systems
- Experience sustaining UEWR, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS)
Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
