This role will support a highly skilled team of Configuration and Data Management Specialists directly contributing to NASA Human Space Flight Programs.

Responsibilities:
- Support NASA Programs by ensuring Configuration Management (CM) functions, processes, and procedures are implemented and are consistently followed.
- Coordinate Changes (Change Requests (CR), Deviations and Waivers, etc.) across contracts, teams, and organizations to facilitate the movement of baseline through applicable boards and panels, ensuring accurate and reliable data is captured from change initiation through implementation and closure.
- Track, control, and release configuration managed products while ensuring established data quality and standards are met prior to release.
- Maintain and validate data within the CR process, and track status of CRs until implemented.
- Review and provide evaluation of cost, schedule, and technical impacts to Program Changes.
- Ensure all documents are current, distribution is timely, changes to a configuration baseline are properly identified, recorded, evaluated, approved, incorporated, and released.
- Perform Board Secretariat functions at Program Boards and meetings.
- Develop meeting minutes including formal actions along with details for decisional items with final decision.
- Coordinate review of minutes, publish minutes and maintain current versions.
- Document and track formal board actions and work with actionees to maintain status of all action items through completion and closure.
- Guide board chairs in CM processes, efficiently shepherd Directives through the CR system.
- Provide Change Paper status at Program Board meetings.
- Perform Configuration Management Receipt Desk (CMRD) coordination to receive, track, and distribute Program Change Requests for appropriate and timely processing and release of Program data.
- Conduct Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) tasks to provide configuration verification, discrepancy tracking, and audit support.
- Apply Data Management best practices to:
- Ensure established data standards are met to enhance data quality, data accessibility and data integration.
- Proper generation, transmittal, receipt, distribution, storage and records retention of data and documentation including contract deliverables.
- Understand restricted data requirements for the Program to ensure proprietary and sensitive data are marked and appropriately controlled.
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, plus two (2) years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
OR
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, plus ten (10) years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in minutes taking and be able to communicate clearly and concisely to Management.
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.
- Be able to prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating with internal and external network of impacted organizations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook) and SharePoint.
- Must be customer focused and able to articulate and patiently instruct others (peers, managers, teammates and customers) in relevant CM processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working individually and actively participating on integrated teams.
- Experience in working one of the areas of Change Management and Configuration Identification, Configuration Status Accounting, Verification or Audits, Data Management or document control and management.
- Experience in using CM tools to integrate best practices.
- Knowledge of EIA-649, National Consensus Standard for Configuration Management.
- National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Configuration and Data Management (CDM) certification highly desired.
- Configuration Management Process Improvement Center (CMPIC) Certification.
