GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
There are two elements associated with this job description: Configuration Management and Data Management. Data Management involves interpreting contracts and determining programmatic and technical data needed during a product’s life cycle. Configuration Management involves applying and implementing the five elements of configuration management; CM Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, and Configuration Verification and Audit for each program here at KUAS.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Data Management
o Determines the contract requirements regarding the management and delivery of all contractual data deliverables.
o Analyzes contract requirements to determine if current Data Management needs to be modified; recommends changes/new procedures to management and implements approved changes.
o Verifies that the data item deliverable requirements are met and comply with contractual data requirement specifications and schedule requirements.
o Trains data item owners on data item contractual requirements.
o When required by contract, maintains the Data Accession List (DAL) and library of KUAS/Kratos internal data which has been generated in compliance with the work effort described in the Statement of Work (SOW).
o Assesses the data deliverable schedules and identifies impact to future deliveries.
o Supports the Configuration/Data Manager, as needed.
o Delivers scheduled data deliverable packages in accordance with each customer's requirements. Records and maintains configuration and Data Management records, as required.
o Performs Data Management audits, analyzes findings and prepares reports as required.
o Prepares reports for internal and external customers on configuration and Data Management activities, including formal Configuration Status Accounting reports to support a product's final configuration.
· Configuration Management
o Works in a government/contractor team environment to establish and execute a configuration management program for multiple systems/programs in various stages of design, development or operations.
o Supports configuration management, Data Management, and planning efforts required to final delivery to the customer of assigned programs.
o Contributes to the development, documentation, and incorporation of design and product changes.
o Monitors the incorporation of configuration change items.
o Maintains configuration control databases and provides status accounting of engineering changes to IPTs and program management.
o Performs ‘As designed/As built’ reconciliation.
o Establishes baseline identification of products through release of specifications, drawings, and requirements flow down.
o Controls configuration of baselines through Configuration Control Boards.
o Performs duties for both hardware and software.
o Plans and/or facilitates internal/external configuration audits.

Required:
· Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
· Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
· Ability to adhere to workplace rules
· Ability to effectively communicate professionally in writing or verbally with all levels of personnel
· Ability to gather detailed requirements from customers, when necessary
· Demonstrated high level of proficiency to organize document content and data
· Must be a strong team leader, good professional communicator, and be comfortable facilitating CCB meetings
- Detailed understanding and application of technical documentation and engineering change proposal processes and practices.
· Must have the ability to think analytically and draw logical conclusions while performing work assignments
· Is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship)
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Preferred:
· Configuration/Data Management activities
· Jira/Confluence experience a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Engineering. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
· 4 years directly related experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Office environment
· Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
· Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
· 5-10% - May be required between KUAS locations
