We are seeking a dynamic professional individual with an excellent background and experience of 3+ years in event planning/conference support as a Conference Center Coordinatorlocated in our Houston, TX office. This role requires flexibility in the work schedule as well as ability to coordinate with various parties/entities to ensure full compliance is met on all requested meeting events, including scheduling, pre-prep & post clean up, etc. The ideal candidate must be detailed oriented with a focus in customer service. The Conference Center Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating with various parties/entities to ensure full compliance is met on all requested meeting events, including scheduling, pre-prep & post clean up, etc. Additional responsibilities include:
- Oversee conference room setups per scheduled specifications
- Ensure meeting rooms are cleaned and prepped before and after meetings
- Coordinate and arrange for all meals (breakfast and/or lunch) including vendor deliveries
- Provide support and backup to office manager
- Adhere to all safety and security procedures
The qualifications for the Conference Center Coordinator must be detailed oriented with a focus in customer service and an excellent background & experience in event planning/conference support. Additional qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Professional demeanor - a must
- Demonstrate sound judgement with the ability to think quickly during an emergency situations
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to include evenings, weekends, etc
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
