Job Description
The Compliance Specialist will assist in assuring all lending activities adhere to applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This position will serve as a compliance subject matter expert in advising partners across business lines and operational areas on compliance-related questions and regulatory implementation. Loan-level testing and support of loan production staff will be a vital aspect of this position. Qualified candidates should have a working knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and the ability to stay abreast of regulatory changes.

Minimum Education:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent Required
- 4-Year Degree in Legal, Finance, or Business Desired
Minimum Knowledge:
- Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations
- Ability to navigate complex compliance research
- Strong analytical and data collection skills
- Demonstrated communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in various computer software programs including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access), database management and other business applications
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Employees are expected to carry out all reasonable requests by managers/supervisors, which the employee can perform
- Maintain equipment and supplies to avoid waste, damage to areas and equipment, and to prevent accidents
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
- Employees must record all hours worked accurately and honestly in the timekeeping system
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a compliance assistant or monitoring role.

- Annual Sexual Harassment Training
Must be able to navigate throughout the building. Must be able to hear and communicate well. Must have good eye-hand coordination and finger movement for use in computer software programs.
